The Damage Control Diet consists of specific items on both the days amounting to 1,000 calories on each day. On day one, breakfast consists of 1 cup yogurt, ½ cup of mixed berries with 2 slices of toast with 2 teaspoons of jam and water. Lunch consists of 2 cups of mixed-green salad and balsamic vinegar, 1 cup light yogurt and water. Dinner consisted of 3 ounces of grilled chicken, 1 cup streamed broccoli, 2 baby red potatoes, orange and water.
On the second day, the Damage Control Diet breakfast consists of 1 cup low-fat cottage cheese, ½ cup cantaloupe, 2 slices of toast with 2 teaspoons of jam and water. Lunch is made up of omelet with 3 with eggs, ½ sliced tomato sprinkled with basil and balsamic vinegar, ½ English muffin, banana and water. Dinner comprises 3 ounces of halibut or sea bass, ½ cup steamed baby carrots, 1/3 cup brown rice, 1 cup light yogurt and water. The Damage Control Diet is meant to be followed for two days to lose the extra pounds.
